Letter to Mrs. Erastus E. Blanchard [manuscript], 1863 October 16.

Blanchard writes to his mother describing the battle between Centreville and Chantilly, Va. during the Bristoe Station Campaign. He describes marches and activities of the Union VI Corps, the capture of 500 Confederate prisoners after an attack by A.P. Hill, the presumed capture of their own adjutant general and preparations for another attack.
